You are having summer in India and you won’t have lassi one time even! Is that a joke?
In India lassi is a very famous Punjabi drink which is very cool and refreshing.Before only North Indians used to drink it mainly, but now due to it’s awesomeness it’s very popular in other parts of India as well. Sweet Punjabi Lassi is definitely very healthy and delicious, mainly made up from fresh yogurt.
Coming to summer, well as you know I truly hate it.During this only tasty food items, cooking, refreshing drinks keep me alive.Now a days, my little sister has been around my place due to her summer vacation. And she just loves lassi (and yes she loves to make it more than to drink it). She stays outside and often she drinks it from different road side shops and she keeps telling me every time that she has mastered the process of making a true sweet Punjabi lassi. So,I thought of taking a break from the kitchen and to let her to try her hands upon it 😀 and well I was not disappointed because as she said,she has made an awesome truly professional lassi today and yes I am gonna share the recipe of it with you guys.
- 1 bowl fresh or frozen yogurt
- 1-1.5 cup chilled water
- 5-6 tsp sugar
- 4 tsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp rock salt
- 2 tsp finely chopped cashews/almonds
- 2 tsp raisins
- ice cubes(optional)
- Take a blender.Add yogurt,chilled water,sugar,rock salt,lemon juice and blend very well.
- Pour in glasses and decorate with raisins and chopped cashews.
- Add ice cubes(optional) and serve chilled.
