This BBQ chicken pizza is homemade and totally delicious.The pizza is topped with melted fresh mozzarella cheese, grilled tomato garlic sauce, barbecue sauce, fresh green vegetables, onions, green chilies, tomatoes and tasty fresh BBQ chicken chunks.Try this recipe and I am sure you will love it as much as I do. My friends drag me every time to pizza shops, but I always go and complain there as I feel they don’t give enough amount of toppings.So, I prefer making pizza myself and decorate it with as many toppings as I want.And I like it spicy always so I use chopped green chilies and red chili flakes plenty too. So last weekend my sister was insisting me to make pizza in BBQ style. But I told her no as I had movie plan that day. So, I though to make it in weekday and guess what, I have made it in breakfast time. Yes, you may wonder that I might have wasted huge time making this so breakfast was not a good choice. But trust me, apart from the preparing time this pizza took just 15 minutes to be made. Now you can save time using some useful shortcuts or tricks. Follow these two only if you have a short time to cook.
1) You can buy ready made pizza base from the market.It will save a huge time.But in case you don’t want that like me and like the homemade pizza crust only then prepare the flour last night and keep it in the fridge.Next morning just take it from freeze and flatten it with the help of roller.
2)I have used homemade tomato garlic sauce here.I roasted the tomatoes, used oregano, used chopped garlic and chilies.I will tell you the recipe of it in details below.
But if you will have less time then you can use any good tasty ready made tomato ketchup as well. So, it will save your time again. One more thing is when I make a pizza of one particular type, I want to keep that flavor and taste of main ingredient intact.So, I don’t use many ingredients of different tastes and flavors in one pizza. I made BBQ pizza so I tried my best to keep that smoky flavor.I used microwave convection mode to cook the pizza.But you can cook the same in OTG oven.Just remember to preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 150-degree temperature. And you can add vegetables of your choice too. You can add a bit of cauliflower or broccoli in it and can garnish it with fresh cilantro leaves. - 1 bowl all purpose refined flour
- 2 tsp yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
- water
- ½ bowl equally cut small chicken chunks
- ½ medium sized onion chopped
- ⅘ garlic cloves chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 chopped green chilies
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- salt to taste
- oil to cook
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 7-8 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2-3 tsp olive oil
- the salt according to taste
- 1 bowl fresh mozzarella cheese grated
- 1 green capsicum chopped
- ⅔ garlic cloves finely grated
- 1 medium sized onion cut in thin round rings
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp tomato sauce/ketchup
- 1 tsp barbecue sauce
- 1 pinch rock salt
- ½ tsp dried red chili flex
- Take a frypan and heat olive oil.Add chopped garlic cloves and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and fry a bit.Add salt and oregano and cook in low to medium heat.
- Cook till the tomatoes are messy and soft totally.Take a blender, blend the mixture.keep aside.
- soak the yeast in 1 cup warm water for minimum 10 minutes till it gets ready.
- now mix the flour, salt, yeast water and oil and make it into a dough.
- Keep the dough in a bowl and cover it with any clean wet cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Take a bowl and add chopped onion and garlic into it.
- add ginger paste, cumin, red chili powder, chopped green chilies.
- Add chicken chunks, 2 tsp water, and grill this mixture in a microwave oven for 7-8 minutes.
- Take the dough and cut it into 2 equal portions.Roll them and make the pizza base ready.
- Apply tomato sauce upon the base.Cover the base with shredded mozzarella.
- Add barbecued or grilled chicken, chopped capsicum, onion rings, garlic cloves evenly on it.
- Cover it again with 1 more layer of shredded mozzarella.Add salt, oregano, and red chili flex.
- Put it in a microwave and cook for 5-6 minutes in grill+microwave mode.Serve it hot.
